# Manage Email Notifications

> Choose whether GoGuardian Discover emails you about app license expirations and changes to app privacy policies or terms of service.

GoGuardian Discover can email you about app license expirations and changes to app privacy policies or terms of service. These notifications are on by default, and each Discover user manages their own preferences.

## Choose Email Notifications

1. In the upper-right corner of Discover, click your name.
2. Select **Account Settings** from the menu.
3. Under **Email Notifications**, turn each notification type on or off:
   * **App license expirations**
   * **Changes to app policies**
4. To stop all Discover emails, turn on **Unsubscribe from all emails**.
5. Verify the result: Discover saves each change automatically, and the settings show your current preferences.

## Review Notification Types

| Setting                         | Default | When Discover Sends the Email                                                                                             |
| ------------------------------- | ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **App license expirations**     | On      | Discover checks license expirations nightly and sends applicable emails after the check. A repeat cadence is not defined. |
| **Changes to app policies**     | On      | An app's privacy policy or terms of service changes, and the organization uses the app or has a license for it.           |
| **Unsubscribe from all emails** | Off     | Turning this on stops all Discover emails, regardless of the individual notification settings.                            |

## Understand Who Receives Policy-Change Emails

Policy-change notifications are available organization-wide to Discover users. Each user can turn off all emails or an individual notification type. No additional role or permission requirement is documented.

Discover does not send an email about a policy change after someone in the organization dismisses that change.
