# Overview

> GoGuardian DNS is a network-level web filtering solution that covers every device connected to your school network — no extensions or software required.

GoGuardian DNS filters internet traffic at the DNS layer for any device connected to a school network. Unlike extension-based filtering, GoGuardian DNS is device-agnostic: it protects laptops, tablets, phones, and BYOD devices as long as they route through a filtered network.
