# FAQs

> Answers to common questions about GoGuardian Fleet, including what Fleet tracks, device assignment limits, repair tickets, and CSV imports.

**Does GoGuardian Fleet show student browsing activity?**

No. Fleet shows device-level information — status, location, OU, and repair history. It does not access or display browsing activity, even for organizations that use GoGuardian Admin or Teacher.

**Can Fleet update my devices' OS or firmware?**

No. Fleet displays the OS version and firmware version of each device, but cannot push updates. Manage updates through Google Admin Console. See [Update Device Status](/products/fleet/update-device-status) for how to view version information in Fleet.

**Can I see a list of teacher devices?**

Yes, if your organization assigns teachers to dedicated OUs or gives teacher devices a consistent Asset ID prefix. Filter by OU to see all devices in a teacher-specific OU, or search by the common Asset ID prefix — for example, `Teacher_CB_` — to find all teacher devices.

**Can a device have more than one repair ticket?**

Yes. Each entry in the Repairs tab represents a single repair event. A device that has been repaired multiple times has multiple repair ticket entries. All historical repair tickets for a device are visible in the **Previous Device Repairs** section of any individual repair detail.

**Does a repair ticket show all repairs for a device?**

No. Each repair ticket covers one repair event. To see all repairs across a device's lifetime, open any repair ticket for that device and look at **Previous Device Repairs** at the bottom of the detail panel.

**Can I delete a cost line item from a repair ticket?**

Yes. In the repair detail, click **Delete** next to the cost entry you want to remove.

**What happens if I import a device that's already in Fleet?**

The CSV values overwrite the existing values in Fleet. For example, if a device currently shows `user@school.edu` in Fleet but the CSV shows `newuser@school.edu`, Fleet updates to `newuser@school.edu`. The new email must be a valid, existing address in your domain. Blank cells in the CSV preserve the existing values in Fleet (except for the `Loaner` column, which must always have a value).

**How many devices can I assign to a single student?**

Fleet allows 1 device plus 1 loaner to be assigned to a single user through the interface. To assign more than 2 devices to a single email, use CSV bulk import. See [Import Devices](/products/fleet/import-devices).
