# End GoGuardian Subscription

> Follow the offboarding steps for your product combination to remove GoGuardian Admin policies, disable Teacher sessions, or uninstall extensions.

Follow the steps for the product combination you're keeping or discontinuing. Complete only the sections that apply to your organization's offboarding plan.

## Offboarding by Product

### Discontinue GoGuardian Admin and Keep GoGuardian Teacher

#### Remove Admin Policies from Organizational Units (OUs)

1. Sign in to [admin.goguardian.com](http://admin.goguardian.com/) with Super User credentials.
2. Navigate to Filtering > Configuration.
3. Remove all filtering policies from your OUs for "At School" and "At Home" modes.

#### Turn Off Out of School Mode

1. In Admin, navigate to Filtering > Configuration > Advanced Config > Scheduling.
2. Turn off the "Enable Out of School Mode" toggle.

#### Turn Off Filtering Settings

1. In Admin, navigate to Filtering > Configuration > Advanced Config > Global Config.
2. Turn off the following configurations:
   1. Force SafeSearch
   2. Safe Translator
   3. Block Direct IP Access
   4. Block Consumer Google Accounts
   5. Filter Embedded Content

#### Remove Students from Custom Groups

1. In Admin, navigate to Filtering > Custom Groups.
2. Remove all students from the list of users or delete the group.

#### Turn Off or Delete Smart Alerts Triggers

1. In Admin, navigate to Smart Alerts > Triggers.
2. Turn off or delete all triggers.

#### Remove Theft Recovery OU in Google Admin Console

1. Sign in to admin.google.com.
2. Navigate to Device Management > Chrome Management > Devices.
3. On the sidebar, select your OU for lost or missing devices configured for Theft Recovery.
4. Move the devices into another OU.
5. After moving the devices, hover the original OU in the sidebar, click the options icon (3 dots), and select Delete Organization. The Theft Recovery app and settings are removed with the OU.

### Discontinue Teacher and Keep Admin

1. Using your Super User credentials, sign in to manage.goguardian.com.
2. Select Products Settings in the navigation menu.
3. Select Teacher.
4. Turn off the "Allow Classroom Sessions" toggle.

### Discontinue Teacher and Admin, and Keep GoGuardian Director

Complete the previous two sections in this guide to disable Teacher and Admin and leave the extensions installed in the Google Admin Console.

### Discontinue Teacher and Admin, and Keep GoGuardian Fleet, Director, or GoGuardian Beacon

#### Keep Fleet Only

Remove your GoGuardian extensions and Theft Recovery as explained in the "Remove Theft Recovery OU in Google Admin Console" section. Fleet continues working without the extensions installed.

#### Keep Fleet, Director, and Beacon

Complete the following sections:

1. Discontinue GoGuardian Admin and Keep GoGuardian Teacher
2. Discontinue Teacher and Keep Admin

Keep both of your GoGuardian extensions installed.

### Discontinue All GoGuardian Services

#### Uninstall GoGuardian Extensions

1. Sign in to admin.google.com.
2. Select Chrome in the navigation menu.
3. Select "Apps & extensions" in the dropdown menu.
4. Select "Users & browsers".
5. On the sidebar, select the OU where you installed the GoGuardian extensions.
6. Find and remove both GoGuardian extensions from the list. You can check your GoGuardian extension IDs by visiting the "Installations" page in GoGuardian Org Management.
7. Save your changes in Google Admin Console.

   <Tip>
     Google Admin Console policies can be overridden and modified in OUs and sub-OUs. Changes to root OUs may not fully apply to sub-OUs within the root. Verify that both GoGuardian extensions were removed from all OUs and sub-OUs.
   </Tip>

#### Remove Theft Recovery

1. Sign in to admin.google.com.
2. Navigate to Device Management > Chrome Management > Devices.
3. On the sidebar, select the OU configured for Theft Recovery.
4. Move the lost or missing devices into another OU.
5. After moving the devices, hover the original OU in the sidebar, click the options icon (3 dots), and select Delete Organization. The Theft Recovery app and settings are removed with the OU.
