# Sync Groups with Microsoft Entra

> Connect Microsoft Entra to GoGuardian Org Management to import user groups and sync them to GoGuardian products and Admin Custom Groups.

Syncing Microsoft Entra groups with GoGuardian Org Management imports user groups into GoGuardian products and makes them available as Admin Custom Groups. Entra groups sync automatically once connected and can be resynced at any time.

  You must have a Microsoft Entra Global Administrator account to grant GoGuardian the required permissions.

## Sync Groups with Microsoft Entra

1. Go to [Org Management](https://manage.goguardian.com).

2. Navigate to **Configuration** > **Data Sources**. Find the **Microsoft Entra** card under the **Students and Groups** section.

3. Click **Sync Microsoft Entra**.

4. Review the required permissions in the **Connect to Microsoft Entra** modal.

5. Click **Continue**.

6. Sign in to Microsoft Entra using your **Global Administrator** account credentials.

7. Select the groups you want to import into GoGuardian.

8. Click **Sync Groups**.

9. Confirm the active sync status on the **Microsoft Entra (Formerly Azure)** card.

  To sync more than 1 Entra tenant, click **Sync Microsoft Entra** on the **Integrations** tab to add additional tenants.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**What access does GoGuardian need for this integration?**

GoGuardian requires permission to list and read properties for Entra groups and group memberships, read user properties in groups, and sync groups. You can grant these permissions during the initial integration setup.

**When do Microsoft Entra groups sync?**

Entra groups sync automatically every day at 7:00 PM PST. To sync immediately, go to [Org Management](https://manage.goguardian.com) and navigate to **Configuration** > **Data Sources** > **Integrations** > **Microsoft Entra (Formerly Azure)** > **Sync Microsoft Entra**.

**Can I integrate multiple Entra tenants?**

Yes. Go to [Org Management](https://manage.goguardian.com) and navigate to **Configuration** > **Data Sources** > **Integrations** > **Microsoft Entra (Formerly Azure)** > **Sync Microsoft Entra** to add additional tenants.
