Students are notified that the test is timed when they begin, and they are locked out when the limit expires. If a student exits the test before time runs out, the timer resumes where it left off when they re-enter. ## Enable a Timed Test 1. In the navigation menu, click **Assignments**. 2. Click an existing assignment's name, or create a new one. 3. Click the **Settings** tab. 4. Toggle on **Timed Test**. 5. Set the time limit in minutes by entering a value or using the increment control. 6. Enable or disable **Allow Student to Save and Continue Later**. 7. Click **Save**. Timed Test setting.
