# Release Test Scores

> Configure and release test scores, responses, and correct answers to students in Pear Assessment

Pear Assessment gives you control over when and how students see their scores. You can release scores automatically when students submit, or hold them and release manually after the class has finished: along with responses and correct answers if your subscription includes those options.

## Release Scores

1. When creating a test, locate the **Release Scores** option in **Settings**.

2. To release scores manually, change **Release Scores** to **Do Not Release Scores or Responses**. After students have taken the test, adjust the setting from the **Live Class Board**.

3. Select the three dots at the top right of the page, then select **Release Score**.

4. Click one of the three release options available.

5. Click **Apply**.

## Release Score Options

* **Do Not Release Scores or Responses**: Student responses and scores are visible to teachers only.
* **Release Scores Only**: Students see their scores. Requires a premium subscription.
* **Release Scores and Student Responses**: Students see their test scores and answer choices. Requires a premium subscription.
* **Release Scores, Student Responses, and Correct Answers**: Students see their test scores, per-question scores, their responses, and the correct answers.

## Student View

Once you release scores, students see their score on their main screen. To review the test in more detail, students select the **Review** button.

From the review screen, students see a performance summary and any overall feedback you provided. Students can then select **Review Responses** to navigate through each question and review all the answer choices available to them.
