# Reset Student's Password

> Reset a student's Pear Assessment account password from the teacher's account using the Manage Class panel, including for non-Google SSO accounts.

## Reset a Student's Password in Pear Assessment

In Pear Assessment, a teacher can reset a student's password from the teacher's account. Please note that this is only available on accounts that are not created via Google single sign-on.

Please note that the steps below can be followed to reset the password of a student's account created by single sign-on. If followed, the student must sign in with the username and password text fields on the Pear Assessment sign-in page. It would not change the password of the Google account.

## Reset Student Password

1. Click **Manage Class** in the navigation menu.
2. Click on a class name in the **Classes** tab.
3. Check the box next to a student's name.
4. Click **Actions** > **Reset Password**.
5. Enter the new password in the first text field.
6. Re-enter the new password in the second text field.
7. Click **Reset**.
