# Troubleshoot “Error While Posting Assignment to Google Classroom”

Troubleshoot “Error while posting assignment to Google Classroom” in Pear Assessment

The “Error while posting an assignment to Google Classroom” message can be troubleshot by logging in and out of Pear Assessment and Google Classroom. Then please sign in again and reshare your assignment to Google Classroom from an assignment's hamburger menu. If the behavior persists, please reset the class codes in Google Classroom and re-sync Google Classroom in Pear Assessment.

## Troubleshoot “Error While Posting Assignment to Google Classroom” in Pear Assessment

This article explains two methods of troubleshooting the “Error while posting an assignment to Google Classroom” status message in Pear Assessment:

* Sign in and out of Pear Assessment and Google Classroom and reshare assignment
* Reset class code and resync assignment

## Sign In and Out of Pear Assessment and Google Classroom

1. Click on your avatar in Pear Assessment > **Sign Out**.
2. Navigate to Google Classroom, click on your avatar, and sign out.
3. Sign in again to each app.
4. In Pear Assessment, click **Assignments** in the navigation menu.
5. Click on an assignment's name.
6. Click the hamburger menu next to the tabs > **Share to Google Classroom**. If the error persists, please try the troubleshooting steps in the next section.

## Reset Class Code and Resync Assignment

1. In Google Classroom, click **Home**.
2. Click on a class name.
3. Click the gear button in the toolbar below your avatar to open **Class Settings**.
4. Click **Reset** under **General** > **Invite Codes** > **Manage Invite Codes** > **Turned on**.
5. Copy the new class code next to **Class code**.
6. In Pear Assessment, click **Manage Class** in the navigation menu.
7. Click on a class name.
8. Click **Sync with Google Classroom** in the toolbar at the top of the window.
9. Paste the new class code copied from Google Classroom.
10. Click **Sync**.
11. Click **Assignments** in the navigation menu.
12. Click on an assignment's name.
13. Click the hamburger menu next to the tabs > **Share to Google Classroom**.
