Open your Pear Deck for PowerPoint Online file in a Teams tab, start a session, and the private [Dashboard View](/products/pear-deck/use-teacher-dashboard) opens automatically. You get real-time student responses by name while the anonymous Projector View displays on the classroom screen. Your school or organization must have a [Microsoft Office 365 Teams account](https://support.office.com/en-us/article/how-do-i-get-access-to-microsoft-teams-fc7f1634-abd3-4f26-a597-9df16e4ca65b) and the Pear Deck App for Teams installed before you begin. ## Start Your Presentation 1. Sign in to your [Office 365 account](https://www.office.com/). 2. Go to **Apps** and click **Teams**. 3. With the Teams screen open, click the new tab button. 4. In the Teams apps menu, select **Pear Deck**. 5. Click **Select a File from OneDrive** to choose the PowerPoint Online file you want to present. 6. In the file picker, select the file you want to present with Pear Deck. 7. Once the file has loaded, click **Save** to launch your presentation. 8. Your presentation starts and the Dashboard opens in a new tab. Use the Dashboard to run the presentation and review student responses in real time. Teams, add a tab Teams, add a tab menu Teams, select a file from onedrive, red arrow Teams, file picker, choose file Teams, file loaded, click save ## Help Students Join How students join depends on whether they are already in your Teams environment. Both paths work. **Students already in your Teams environment** Students who are in your Teams environment do not need a Join Code. They navigate to Teams, click the presentation tab, and click **Sign in to Pear Deck** to join. Teams, log into session, red arrow **Students outside your Teams environment** Students outside Teams can still join, but they need a Microsoft Office 365 account. To get them in: * Click **Open Projector View**. This opens the Projector View in a new tab. Teams, open projector view * The Projector View always displays student responses anonymously. Drawing, map, grid on projector * Students go to [joinpd.com](http://joinpd.com/), enter the Session Join Code shown in your Projector View, and sign in with their Microsoft Office 365 accounts. Ppt, projector view, join instructions Regardless of how students join, their slides sync to yours and they can respond to any Interactive Questions you have added. ## Run Your Presentation The Dashboard and Projector Views stay in sync automatically. Use the Navigation Bar in the Dashboard to move through slides. The Projector View and student views follow.
