# Edit a Student's Account Details

> Edit a student's account details, such as setting their preferred name.

Under **Classrooms**, you can edit a student's preferred name and grade level if they have signed in to Pear Practice at least once. Preferred names show instead of full names in the class and in-game sessions.

## Edit a Student's Account Details

1. Click **Classrooms**.
2. Click the classroom name.
3. Click the pencil button for a student under **Students**.
4. Change the student's **Preferred Name** or **Grade Level**.
5. Click **Save**.
