# Share a Practice Set with Other Teachers

> Share your Pear Practice sets with colleagues through public profiles, shared libraries, or direct links.

## Share a Practice Set with Other Teachers

Pear Practice has 2 distinct sharing flows. This article covers sharing a Practice Set with other teachers so they can copy and reuse it. If you want to share a set with students to complete as an assignment, see [Create Assignment](./create-assignment).

You can share a Practice Set with colleagues in 3 ways:

* Make your teacher profile public so colleagues can browse and copy your sets
* Copy and send a direct link to a specific Practice Set
* Contribute the set to your School Library, if your district has configured one

## Share via Your Public Teacher Profile

Making your profile public lets any Pear Practice user find your sets through Explore and copy them to their own library.

### Set Your Profile to Public

1. Click your avatar, then select **My Account**.
2. Click **Profile**.
3. Under **Customize Who Can View Your Profile**, select **Public Profile**.
4. Click **Save**.

### Share Your Profile Link

1. Click your avatar, then select **My Profile**.
2. Click the **share** button.
3. Select **Copy Share Link** to copy your profile URL.
4. Send the link to your colleagues.

When a colleague opens your profile link, they can browse your Practice Sets and copy any set to their own library. They cannot edit your originals.

## Share a Direct Link to a Practice Set

You can copy a link to a specific Practice Set and send it directly to a colleague.

1. Open **My Library**.
2. Click the Practice Set you want to share.
3. Click the **pencil** button to open the set's settings.
4. Click **Adjust Sharing Settings**.
5. Set the sharing option to **Public Library** so the set is visible to other Pear Practice users.
6. While viewing the set, copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
7. Send the link to your colleagues.

Your colleague clicks the link, opens the set in Explore, and copies it to their own library using **Use** > **Copy to My Library**.

<Note>
A recipient who is not signed in to Pear Practice will be prompted to sign in before they can view or copy the set.
</Note>

## Share via Your School Library

Some districts configure a School Library in Pear Practice. If your district has one, you can contribute Practice Sets to it so all teachers in the district can find and copy them.

Contributing to a School Library requires the Shared Libraries permission. Contact your Pear Practice administrator if you do not see the School Library option.

### Add a Practice Set to the School Library

1. Open **My Library**.
2. Click the Practice Set you want to contribute.
3. Click the **pencil** button to open the set's settings.
4. Click **Adjust Sharing Settings**.
5. Select your School Library from the sharing options.
6. Click **Save**.

The set appears in the School Library for all teachers in your district. Colleagues copy it to their own library the same way they would copy any set from Explore.

## What Recipients Can Do with a Shared Set

When a colleague copies a Practice Set from your profile, a direct link, or a School Library, they receive their own independent copy. They can:

* Edit questions, adjust difficulty, and rename the set in their own library
* Assign it to their classes
* Copy individual questions to other sets

What they cannot do:

* Edit your original set
* See your assignment data or class reports
* Access the set if you later change your sharing settings to private (their copy remains in their library, but the public link will no longer work)

## Troubleshoot Access Errors

If a colleague receives an error when opening a shared link, one of the following is likely the cause.

**The set is not set to public.** The set must be in the Public Library for a link to work for recipients outside your account. Return to **Adjust Sharing Settings** and confirm the setting is **Public Library**.

**The recipient does not have a Pear Practice account.** Recipients must have an active Pear Practice account to copy a set. If your colleague does not have an account, ask your Pear Practice administrator to add them.

**School Library restrictions.** The School Library is scoped to teachers who share the same domain. A teacher at another district cannot access a set shared only to your School Library. Use the Public Library setting or a direct profile link instead.

**Region restrictions.** In some configurations, Pear Practice content is scoped by region. If a colleague in a different region reports an access error, contact Pear Practice support for guidance.

After sharing a set, you can track which sets you've made public by reviewing My Library and filtering by sharing setting.
