# Enable Screen Sharing for a Media Device

> How to enable a media device for screen sharing in GoGuardian Teacher.

## Overview

GoGuardian Teacher lets you share your screen with students during a classroom session. To use screen sharing, you first need to enable a media device in your browser.

## Enable a Media Device for Screen Sharing

1. Open GoGuardian Teacher and start or join an active classroom session. See [Start a Classroom Session](/products/teacher/start-a-classroom-session) for details.

2. In your browser, go to the site settings or permissions panel for GoGuardian Teacher. Select **Camera** or **Microphone** depending on the media device you want to enable.

3. Select **Allow** to grant GoGuardian Teacher access to your media device.

4. Return to your classroom session and verify that the media device is available for screen sharing.
