## Classroom

**How do I archive, restore, or delete a class?**

To archive, select the class and go to **Settings**, then click **Archive Classroom**. You can also click the **Settings cogwheel** on a class tile and select **Archive Class**. To restore, go to the [Archived classes](https://teacher.goguardian.com/classrooms/archived) page and click **Restore Class**. To delete a class, click the **Settings cogwheel** and select **Delete Class**. Type `DELETE` to confirm.

See [Archive, Restore, or Delete a Classroom](/products/teacher/archive-restore-delete-a-classroom) for full details.

**How do I change my classroom schedule?**

1. Click into the class you want to edit.

2. Go to the **Settings** tab.

3. Select the **Scheduling** tab.

4. Make your changes there, or use the [Calendar](https://teacher.goguardian.com/calendar) to view and manage all scheduled classes.

See [Schedule Classroom Sessions](/products/teacher/schedule-classroom-sessions) for full details.

**How do I update classroom info?**

Classroom info includes the class name, subject, description, Default Scene, and tile color.

1. Click on the class from the Active class section.

2. Go to the **Settings** tab.

3. Select the **Info** tab and make the changes.

4. Click **Update Classroom** to save.

For classes imported from Clever or ClassLink, the class name can only be updated from the source system, which syncs back to GoGuardian at the next sync.

**How do I add a co-teacher, substitute, or aide?**

The teacher must already have a GoGuardian Teacher account before they can be added.

1. Select the classroom.

2. Go to the **Teachers** tab.

3. Click **Add Teacher** and search for the teacher by name within your domain.

4. Select a permission level from the drop-down: **Owner**, **Teacher**, or **Helper**.

5. Click **Add**.

If the teacher is not searchable, they do not yet have a GoGuardian Teacher account. Contact your IT administrator to create one.

**Why can't I find my Google Classroom?**

First, check the [Archived classes](https://teacher.goguardian.com/classrooms/archived) section to see if the class was moved there. The class name may have been changed in GoGuardian Teacher. Compare your rosters between GoGuardian and Google Classroom to look for a renamed match. For further troubleshooting, see the Google Classroom troubleshooting article.

**How do I add or remove students from a classroom?**

To temporarily remove a student from a session without removing them from the roster, use the **Exclude Student** command. See [Commands Overview](/products/teacher/commands-overview).

To permanently remove a student:

1. Go to the classroom's **Students** tab.

2. Click **Remove** to the right of the student's name.

3. Confirm by clicking **Remove Student**.

For classes synced from Google Classroom, Clever, or ClassLink, roster changes must be made at the source.

**How does screen viewing work, and how much bandwidth does it use?**

GoGuardian Teacher captures an updated view of student screens approximately every 3 seconds. At peak load, bandwidth usage is approximately 15–30 kbps per student device.

## Sessions, Scenes, and Commands

**How do I block students from websites?**

Create and apply a Scene. Scenes let you set a custom allowed list (only listed sites accessible) or a blocked list (only listed sites blocked). See [Create and Apply a Scene](/products/teacher/create-and-apply-a-scene) for full details.

**Can students be in multiple sessions at once? Can teachers run multiple sessions?**

Yes to both. Students can be in multiple concurrent teacher sessions. Teachers can also run multiple sessions at the same time and switch between them using the sessions bar at the top of the screen.

When a student is in overlapping sessions where Scenes conflict, you will see a **Scene Conflict** banner identifying the conflicting teacher and affected students. Click **Reapply Your Scene** to push your Scene back to those students. See [Scene Conflicts](/products/teacher/scene-conflicts) for full details.

**How do I override a Scene from another teacher?**

The most recently applied Scene takes precedence. If students are not being affected by your Scene because another teacher's Scene is active, click **Reapply Your Scene** from the Scene Conflict banner. See [Scene Conflicts](/products/teacher/scene-conflicts).

**How do I apply different Scenes to different groups of students?**

GoGuardian Teacher supports applying Scenes to independent student groups within a single class session. See the Scenes for Student Groups article for details.

## Student Screens

**Why can't I see a student's screen?**

The status message on the student's tile identifies the cause. See the relevant troubleshooting article:

* [Student Offline](/products/teacher/student-offline)
* [Student Not Found](/products/teacher/student-not-found)
* [Waiting for Activity](/products/teacher/waiting-for-activity)
* [Reviewing Activity Is Restricted](/products/teacher/reviewing-activity-restricted)

If you suspect a student is using an extension to bypass GoGuardian Teacher, contact your Super User to block that extension through Google Admin Console.

## Clever and ClassLink Integrations

**Where can I find my Clever or ClassLink classrooms?**

Classrooms integrated by your organization's Super Users appear under **Pending Classrooms** on your dashboard. Click **Accept** to move the class to your Active Classrooms, or **Decline** to send it to the Archived tab (where you can restore it later). All roster changes for integrated classes must be made in the SIS.
