# Integrate GoGuardian Teacher with Hall Pass

> Learn what the GoGuardian Teacher and Hall Pass integration provides to teachers, how it works, and how to resolve common setup errors.

GoGuardian Teacher integrates with Hall Pass so teachers can access key Hall Pass actions without leaving their primary classroom workflow.

## What the Integration Provides

Depending on your district configuration, teachers may be able to:

* See whether a student currently has a Hall Pass and its status
* Launch Hall Pass in a focused pop-up window to:
  * **Create a pass** for a selected student
  * View a selected student's current pass details

## How the Integration Works

GoGuardian Teacher requests Hall Pass context for the teacher and selected students. Hall Pass responds with:

* Links to open **Create Pass** or **View Pass** windows
* Real-time configuration so Teacher can stay updated on pass changes

## What to Expect

* A Hall Pass-related affordance appears in Teacher, tied to the classroom and student list workflow.
* Selecting **Create pass** opens a Hall Pass window where the teacher selects origin, destination, duration, and other details.
* If a student already has an in-progress pass, teachers can open a **View pass** window for details and actions, based on their permissions.

## Resolve Common Setup Errors

**Pop-up blockers**

The integration opens Hall Pass in a new window. If nothing happens when a teacher selects a pass action, have them allow pop-ups for GoGuardian Teacher and Hall Pass domains.

**Teacher missing Hall Pass access**

If the teacher is not mapped to a Hall Pass site as Staff or Admin, Teacher cannot retrieve Hall Pass context for them. Fix this in Org Management role mappings.

**Student and site mismatch**

If a teacher and a student don't share any Hall Pass site, the teacher may not be able to create a pass for that student. Ensure both are mapped to the same sites.

**Deactivated or archived students**

If a student is not active in the site, they may not appear as eligible for Hall Pass actions.

**"Hall Pass not enabled" errors**

This error means Hall Pass is not enabled or licensed for the org, or the teacher is missing the site mapping required for Hall Pass authorization.
