Data Studio Report Capabilities

Data Studio includes 8 reports, each designed for a specific type of district analysis. This reference covers what each report supports, what data it requires, and its known limitations.

Dashboard

The Dashboard provides a district-wide summary of academic performance, attendance, and student risk levels.


Supported data sources	Pear Assessment results, attendance data, external benchmarks
Time range	Single school year only. Does not support multi-year comparisons.
Subgroup filters	School, teacher, class, race, gender, and custom demographics
Multi-year support	No
Required to populate	At least 1 completed Pear Assessment in the selected year

Early Warning

The Early Warning report identifies students who may be at risk based on attendance and academic performance, using risk bands configured by your district.


Supported data sources	Pear Assessment results, attendance data, external benchmarks
Time range	Configurable duration within a school year
Subgroup filters	Student set, tests, demographics, duration
Multi-year support	No
Required to populate	Risk bands must be configured. See Configure Risk Bands and Early Warning Settings.

Whole Learner

The Whole Learner report shows a single student’s academic performance, attendance, and risk level in one view.


Supported data sources	Pear Assessment results, attendance data, external benchmarks
Time range	Configurable duration
Subgroup filters	Individual student view
Multi-year support	Yes
Required to populate	At least 1 completed Pear Assessment and 1 additional data source (attendance or external benchmark)

Performance Trends

Performance Trends shows assessment score trends over time, segmented by school, teacher, class, or demographic group.

Time range	Supports multi-year comparisons
Subgroup filters	School, teacher, class, student group, race, gender, and demographics
Multi-year support	Yes
Required to populate	At least 2 completed assessments in the selected date range

Domain Analysis

Domain Analysis breaks down standards mastery by domain, showing where students across the district are strongest and where gaps exist.


Supported data sources	Pear Assessment results, external benchmarks with domain mapping
Time range	Configurable
Subgroup filters	School, teacher, class, and demographics
Multi-year support	Yes
Required to populate	Items must be tagged to standards. Assessments without standards tags do not contribute to Domain Analysis.

External benchmark data appears in Domain Analysis only if the benchmark file includes domain or standards mapping. If domain data is missing for an external assessment, confirm the import file includes a domain or standard code column.

Attendance Summary

Attendance Summary shows weekly and monthly attendance data alongside academic results, including chronic absenteeism rates.

Required to populate	An attendance data feed must be connected. Pear Assessment academic data alone does not populate this report.

Goals and Interventions

Goals and Interventions allows district administrators to define proficiency thresholds and track which students meet the goal over time.


Supported data sources	Pear Assessment results, external benchmarks
Time range	Goal-specific date range set when the goal is created
Subgroup filters	School, class, and student group
Multi-year support	No — goals are created for a specific school year
Required to populate	At least 1 goal or intervention must be created

Efficacy

The Efficacy report compares student outcomes before and after a specific program or intervention, using a before-and-after assessment model.


Supported data sources	Pear Assessment results, external benchmarks
Time range	Defined by the pre- and post-assessment date range
Subgroup filters	School, teacher, class, and demographics
Multi-year support	Yes, for pre/post comparisons that cross school years
Required to populate	At least 1 pre-assessment and 1 post-assessment assigned to the same students
