Pear Practice doesn’t merge practice sets natively. To build a combined review or cumulative assignment, create a new blank set and copy questions into it from your existing sets. The result is a single set you can assign to any class.

Create a New Practice Set for Your Review

Start with a blank set to hold the questions you’ll pull in.
  1. Click Create in the navigation menu.
  2. Click Custom.
  3. Enter a name under Details > Title. Choose a name that reflects the scope of the review, such as “Unit 3 Cumulative Review” or “Midterm Practice.”
  4. Fill in Description, Subject, Grade, and Language.
  5. Set Adjust Sharing Settings to Private until you’re ready to share.
  6. Click Create Practice Set.
Your new set opens in My Library with no questions yet.

Copy Questions from an Existing Set

With your new set open, pull in questions from other sets in My Library.
  1. Click My Library.
  2. Click on the name of your new practice set.
  3. Under Questions, click + Add.
  4. For Add existing from, select My Library.
  5. Search by keyword or filter by subject, grade, or standard to find a source set.
  6. Locate the question you want and click + Add to Set.
  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each question you want to include from this source.
  8. To pull from another source set, click + Add again, change the Add existing from selection if needed, and search for the next source.
For full steps on copying questions across sets and libraries, see Copy Questions to Practice Sets from Libraries.

Copy Questions from Explore

If source sets live in the Explore library rather than My Library, use the Explore tab to add questions directly to your combined set.
  1. Click Explore.
  2. Search or browse for a practice set by subject, grade, or author.
  3. Click on the name of the practice set.
  4. Click View Details.
  5. Find a question and click + Add to Set under Questions.
  6. Repeat for each question you want from Explore.
Copied questions default to private sharing settings in your library. For full steps, see Copy Question from Explore.
A single practice set supports up to 100 questions. Keep this limit in mind when pulling from multiple sources.

Adjust the Question Order

After copying questions from multiple sources, review the order so the set flows the way you intend.
  1. Click My Library.
  2. Click on the name of your combined practice set.
  3. Click Reorder under Questions.
  4. Click and hold a question, then drag it to the correct position.
  5. Click Save.
To duplicate a question within the set, click the copy button (the icon with 2 folders) in the question’s toolbar. For full steps, see Duplicate or Reorder a Question in My Library.

Assign Your Combined Set

When the set is ready, assign it to your class.
  1. Click Classrooms.
  2. Click on a class name.
  3. Click Assignments.
  4. Click Create Assignment.
  5. Select your combined practice set.
  6. Add a description, set a Start Date and Due Date, and enter an Accuracy Goal.
  7. Select the class under Assign to Classroom.
  8. Click Create Assignment.
To confirm the assignment posted correctly, open the class in Classrooms and check that it appears under Assignments with the correct due date and accuracy goal. Students can access the assignment from Home, My Classes, or the link posted to Google Classroom. For full steps on creating and configuring assignments, see Create Assignment. Once students complete the assignment, review their results in Classroom Reports to see performance by question across the combined set.
