If your district uses Clever to roster Pear Assessment, connect each Clever-synced class to its matching Google Classroom class. This connection lets you share assignments and sync grades to Google Classroom while Clever remains the roster source.
Complete the district’s Clever roster sync first. Connect classes only from inside each individual Clever-synced class. Starting Sync with Google Classroom from the Dashboard or the main Manage Class screen can override Clever rostering.

Connect Each Clever-Synced Class

Repeat these steps for every Clever-synced class that needs Google Classroom assignment sharing and grade passback:
  1. In Pear Assessment, open Manage Class.
  2. Select the Clever-synced class you want to connect.
  3. From inside the class, open the class menu.
  4. Select Sync with Google Classroom.
  5. Choose the matching Google Classroom section and complete the connection.

Avoid Starting a Roster Import

Do not select Sync with Google Classroom from either of these locations:
  • The main Manage Class screen
  • The Dashboard
Using either option can override the Clever roster instead of connecting the existing Clever-synced class. Verify the Connection

Share an assessment with the connected Google Classroom class. Ask students to open and submit the assessment from Google Classroom. After you release scores in Pear Assessment, confirm that the grades appear in the matching Google Classroom gradebook. If grades do not appear, follow Sync Scores to Google Classroom to send them manually.
