SIS and LMS integrations, including Schoology, require a Pear Assessment district or school plan. See Subscription Plans for Pear Assessment. Ask your account manager if you’re unsure whether your organization is eligible.
Before You Start
Confirm you have:- A Pear Assessment district or school plan
- Schoology administrator access to install an external tool (for the admin setup step)
- A Schoology course to connect
Install Pear Assessment in Schoology
A Schoology system administrator installs Pear Assessment once as an external (LTI) tool so it’s available to teachers across courses. After installation, teachers add Pear Assessment to a course through Add Materials → External Tool and select Pear Assessment as the tool provider.Sign In with Single Sign-On
From your Schoology course, open the Pear Assessment tool to sign in. Signing in through Schoology links your Schoology identity to your Pear Assessment account, so you don’t sign in separately.Sync Your Roster
Students active in your Schoology course section are rostered when you sync, and the section and course name carry over automatically. You can also create a class in Pear Assessment first and then associate it with a Schoology section.Assign an Assessment from Schoology
Assign a Pear Assessment test from within your Schoology course so students launch it directly from Schoology without a separate join code or link.Sync Grades
When you release scores in Pear Assessment, grades sync back to the Schoology gradebook.Resolve Sync Issues
If grades or assignments aren’t appearing in Schoology as expected:- Re-release the scores for the assignment you want to push.
- Confirm the Pear Assessment class is associated with the correct Schoology section.
- Confirm your account is signed in through Schoology rather than directly, so the two accounts stay linked.
