Google Workspace policy requires that Pear Assessment is trusted as a third-party app for accounts whose users are 18 or younger. Students under 18 cannot sign in to Pear Assessment unless the app is marked as trusted in Workspace. Your Google Workspace administrator can complete this setup using one of the two methods below: approving an existing listing or adding the app manually by Client ID. Approve Pear Assessment from the Existing Listing

Use these steps if Pear Assessment is already listed under configured apps in Google Workspace. If you do not see it listed, skip to Add Pear Assessment Manually by Client ID.
  1. Go to admin.google.com.
  2. Sign in with an administrator account.
  3. In the sidebar, click SecurityAccess and data controlAPI controls.
  4. Click Manage Third-Party Access.
  5. Under Configured apps, click Add a filterApp name.
  6. Enter Pear Assessment and click Apply.
  7. Select Pear Assessment and click Change access.
  8. For Scope, select your root organizational unit (OU) or a specific OU that hosts student accounts. GoGuardian recommends the root OU.
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Select Trusted.
  11. Select Allowlist for exemption from API access blocks in context-aware access. Available only for apps added via OAuth client IDs.
  12. Click Continue.
  13. Confirm your setup and click Change Access.
  14. Verify that students can sign in to Pear Assessment.

Add Pear Assessment Manually by Client ID

Use these steps if Pear Assessment does not appear as a listed third-party app in Google Workspace.
  1. Go to admin.google.com.
  2. Sign in with an administrator account.
  3. In the sidebar, click SecurityAccess and data controlAPI controls.
  4. Click Manage Third-Party Access.
  5. Click Configure new app.
  6. Under App, paste the following Client ID:
  7. Click Search.
  8. Click Pear Assessment.
  9. For Scope, select your root organizational unit (OU) or a specific OU that hosts student accounts. GoGuardian recommends the root OU.
  10. Click Continue.
  11. Select Trusted.
  12. Select Allowlist for exemption from API access blocks in context-aware access. Available only for apps added via OAuth client IDs.
  13. Click Continue.
  14. Confirm your setup and click Finish.
  15. If a second Client ID is required, repeat steps 5–14 using the additional Pear Assessment Client ID.
  16. Verify that students can sign in to Pear Assessment.
