Dashboard Mid Section

The Mid Section contains two key tabs. These tabs are Classes and Assignments. Note: The features shown in the image are within the new dashboard version.

Classes Tab

In the classes tab, you can sort the classes you see. Underneath the classes tab, you will see a drop-down menu. This menu consists of: All Classes, Primary Teacher Classes, and Favorite classes.
  • All Classes: The Dashboard will show you your classes in alphabetical order. If you need to see all classes, we recommend that users view classes in the Manage Class tab or the Assignments tab.
  • Primary Teacher Classes: Selecting this will only show classes you are the primary teacher of. If you are a co-teacher of a class, those classes will not appear. The dashboard only allows a total of eight classes (when window zoom settings are set to 100%).
  • My Favorites: This option will show you classes you have favorited. To favor a class, in the Dashboard, on the top right corner of the class card, there is a white heart. White means the class is not favored, and red means the class has been selected a favored class. Note: If you are not able to select a favorited class because it is now shown in the Dashboard, please reach out to Pear Deck Learning support: support@assessment.peardeck.com, and the team will apply changes to the desired class you wish to favorite.
Note: On the Classes tab, each class can be favorited and clicked to view the class roster, where you can add students or co-teachers and take more action. The Classes tab also shows the classroom details and the number of assignments. Click the [number] Assignments link to open the Assignments screen, which is also available from the navigation menu, and then click the assignment name to see the Live Class Board tab. To the right of the drop-down, you have the option to view classes in Grid View or List View.

Grid View

Grid View is the default display. Grid view allows you to view class cards. Class cards contain information such as class name, grade level, subject, number of students, assignments assigned, a shortcut button to view more details in the class, and the most recent assignment. You can also favorite the class.

List View

  • The List View displays classes like a list. The class name is displayed, the number of students is displayed, and you have the ability to favorite a class here.
  • The different features in list view is you you can view the Advanced Gradebook for the class, see the Standards Mastery, and view all assignments from the class. These are buttons located on the right-hand side of the list view.

Grid and List View

For both views, users can sync classes, create a class, or see all classes. These buttons are to the right Grid or List view.
  • Sync Classes: This button can only be used if your classes are syncing with Google Classroom. If your classes sync with another Learning Management System, DO NOT click this button.
  • Create Class: This button is a shortcut to manually create a new class.
  • See All: This button is a shortcut to see all classes in your Pear Assessment account.

Assignments Tab

The Assignments tab in the Dashboard gives users the ability to see assignments assigned to their classes. The default view is a List View. The assignment tab has three drop-down menus. They consist of:
  • Grades - Users can view all grades assigned or a specific grade to view.
  • Classes - The drop-down consists of all classes to be viewed or a certain class.
  • Status - Users can view all statuses of each assignment or can sort by: Not Open, In Progress, In Grading, or Done.
Underneath the dropdowns is the list of Assignments. Based on the dropdown preferences selected, the user will see the following:
  • Ability to expand the assignment details by clicking on the green + to the left of the assignment icon.
  • See the Assignment icon
  • Name of the assignment
  • How many classes are assigned.
  • Number of students submitted
  • Number of students graded
  • A drop-down menu button that gives you assignment functions. These functions include: Assigning other classes, Previewing the assignment, Viewing test details, Print Test, Release Scores, Share/ Embed/ Link, View Completion Report, View Summary Report, Edit Test, Clone, Download Response.

See All Button

To the right of the three drop-down filters is a shortcut button to see all of the assignments assigned in Pear Assessment. If users click this button, they will be led to the Assignments tab where they can have a more overview of all the assignments assigned.

Dashboard Bottom Bar

At the bottom of the Dashboard is a bar that contains shortcut buttons to create a test. These buttons include:
  • Test Library - View all tests in the Pear Assessment Library
  • Use AI - Enter in Prompts and parameters to create a test with Pear Assessment’s AI.
  • Content Converter - Use Google Forms or a Document (DOCX, PDF, JPG, PNG) to create a test.
  • Video Quiz - Create a test via a YouTube video.
  • PDF to Test - Use a PDF file to create a PDF/ SnapQuiz test.
  • Create from Scratch - Create a brand new test
  • See all - See all test creation types.
Please note that the Dashboard is pre-populated and, as a result, the class cards can not be moved or reorganized. If your district is using Clever to sync rosters, the names of the classes will be labeled as they are in your student information system. If a teacher renames the class on the Manage Class screen, the class names will revert to the original names sent from the student information system (SIS) when the integration syncs.
