Teachers can assign a common assessment to specific students in a class, provide flexibility in testing, hide questions from other teachers before grading, and lock settings so all teachers use the same anti-cheating or other features.
An assessment can be duplicated, resulting in data from multiple versions of an assessment, unless you use District Custom Collections for Enterprise Users.

Assign a Common Assessment

  1. Click Test, or click a link if a teacher has shared one.
  2. Click on a test.
  3. Click Quick Assign in the popup.
  4. Under Class/Group, select one or more classes to take the assignment.
  5. Under Students, select all students or specific students in the class or group. To select specific students, choose them from the field’s dropdown.
  6. Under Open Date and Close Date, select when the assessment will be available to students. Note that Use Open, Due and Close Date sets the same start and end dates.
  7. Under Open Policy and Close Policy, select how the assessment will be made available to students on the open and close dates. Note the difference for manual settings:
    • Open Manually: Assigns the assessment now but gives class access only when the teacher is ready.
    • Close Manually: Keeps the assessment open until all students finish. This setting does not affect reports or data.
  8. Click Assign in the upper-right corner of the window.
