In Pear Assessment, a teacher can assign a common assessment and benefit from the following: assign an assessment to specific students in a class, provide flexibility in testing for students, hide the questions from teachers before grading, and lock the settings, so all teachers must use the anti-cheating or other features you choose.

Teacher-Assigned Common Assessments

In Pear Assessment, a teacher can assign a common assessment and benefit from the following:
  • Assign an assessment to specific students in a class
  • Provide flexibility in testing for students
  • Hide the questions from teachers before grading
  • Lock the settings, so all teachers must use the anti-cheating or other features you choose
Please note that an assessment can be duplicated, resulting in data from multiple versions of an assessment, unless you use District Custom Collections for Enterprise Users.

Assign a Common Assessment

  1. Click Test or click on a link if a teacher has shared one.
  2. Click on a test.
  3. Click Quick Assign in the popup.

  1. Select one or more classes to take the assignment under Class/Group.

  1. Select all or specific students in the class/group under Students. If you’re selecting specific students, please select them in the field’s dropdown.

  1. Select the time when the assessment will be available to students under Open Date and Close Date. Please note Use Open, Due and Close Date sets the same start and end dates.

  1. Select how the assessment will be made available to students on the open and close dates under Open Policy and Close Policy. Please note the difference for manual settings:
Open Manually: Allows the teacher to assign the assessment now but gives access to classes when they are ready. Close Manually: Allows the teacher to keep the assessment open until all students finish the assessment. This does not affect reports or data.
  1. Click Assign in the upper-right corner of the window.
