Clever Library – A Way to Manage Your Class Rosters

You have probably landed on this article because someone at Pear Assessment has suggested that Clever Library is a great option for you. And it is. You will fall into one of two categories:

Your district WAS being synced with Clever but now you’ll being asked to sync with Clever Library.
You are new to Pear Assessment and want to sync with Clever and are being asked to sync with Clever Library.

First, you need to understand a couple vocabulary phrases: active sync vs passive sync. Clever Library is an active sync. This means that you have to initiate the sync and PULL in the roster data. If you get a new student, you have to remember to re-sync. In other words, you have to be active. A Clever district sync is passive. This means that the system PUSHES the roster data into your account for you. You get to sit back and remain passive.

How Do I Activate the Clever Library Sync?

Sign in to Clever, and click on the Library tab. Then, search for Pear Assessment. You will then have to install Pear Assessment to your Clever Portal. Next, you’ll either be signed in to your existing account or you’ll create a new account. After that, you’ll have to PULL in the roster data. Finally, if a new student arrives, you’ll have to remember to re-sync in order to add them to your Pear Assessment account.

What Do Students Do?

Students can either sign into Clever, click on Applications, and sign into Pear Assessment. Or, they can go to app.Pear Assessment.com a click to Sign in with Clever.
