Clever Library lets you connect Pear Assessment to Clever and pull your class rosters on demand. Unlike a full Clever district sync: which pushes roster data into your account automatically: Clever Library is an active sync, meaning you initiate each roster update yourself.

Understand Active Vs. Passive Sync

Before setting up Clever Library, it helps to understand the difference between the two sync types:
  • Active sync (Clever Library): You initiate the sync and pull roster data into your account. If a new student joins your class, you must re-sync to add them.
  • Passive sync (Clever district sync): The system pushes roster data into your account automatically. No manual action is required.
If your district previously used a Clever district sync and is now moving to Clever Library, you will need to perform manual syncs going forward.

Activate the Clever Library Sync

  1. Sign in to Clever and click the Library tab.
  2. Search for Pear Assessment in the Library.
  3. Click Install to add Pear Assessment to your Clever Portal.
  4. Sign in to your existing Pear Assessment account, or create a new one if prompted.
  5. Click Pull Roster (or the equivalent sync control) to import your class roster data.
  6. If a new student joins your class after the initial sync, return to Clever Library and pull the roster again to add them to your Pear Assessment account.

How Students Sign In

Students have two ways to access Pear Assessment through Clever:
  • Sign in to Clever, click Applications, and select Pear Assessment.
  • Go to app.pearassessment.com and click Sign in with Clever.
