Accessibility in Pear Practice

Pear Practice natively supports accessibility with a mobile-friendly user experience (UX), keyboard navigation, screen reader, text-to-speech, and reduced animation in your browsers. Supported browsers include Google Chrome, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. We designed Pear Practice with all users in mind by natively supporting accessibility. Features include:
  • Mobile-friendly user experience (UX)
  • Keyboard navigation
  • Screen reader
  • Text-to-speech
  • Reduced animation

Keyboard Navigation

Full keyboard navigation, or mouseless navigation, lets you use the app with only your keyboard. We recommend using the following keys:
  • Tab: navigate items
  • Enter: select an item
  • Escape: exit a window
  • Space bar: scroll to the bottom of the page

Screen Reader

Screen reader empowers visually impaired users to engage with content in braille or text-to-speech. You can turn on screen reader in your preferred browser, such as Google Chrome, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.

Text-to-Speech

Pear Practice’s Live Practices and Quick Play feature built-in sound. During a session, click the sound button to listen to the question. The feature is intended for users who experience physical symptoms from excessive screen time, such as eye fatigue.

Reduced Animation

In your device and browser settings, you can turn on reduced animation to limit zoom and in-game animations, preventing dizziness or distraction.
