Reset Pear Practice Access to Google Account

Reset Pear Practice’s permissions to your Google account if you’re unable to import Google Classroom or students can’t join your classroom. In your Google account, you can reset Pear Practice’s permission if it can’t import classes from Google Classroom. The reset is needed when security settings change in Google Workspace. After you reset the access in Google, you can import classes into Pear Practice by authorizing access to your Google account. Pear Practice needs access to:
  • Manage coursework and grades for students in the Google Classroom classes you teach and view the coursework and grades for classes you administer
  • View the email addresses of people in your classes
  • View your Google Classroom class rosters
  • View your Google Classroom classes
Note: Please keep Pear Practice’s access under How Google helps you sign in to Pear Practice. When removed, it prevents you from signing in to Pear Practice with your Google account.

Remove Pear Practice’s Access to Google

  1. Go to myaccount.google.com.
  2. Click Security.
  3. Under Your connection to third-party apps & services, click See all connections.
  4. Click Pear Practice.
  5. For Pear Practice has some access to your Google Account, click See Details > Remove access.

Give Access to Pear Practice

  1. In Pear Practice, click Classrooms > Import Classroom > Authorize with Google.
  2. Click on the Google account that you signed in with to Pear Practice.
  3. Select the following permissions: View the email addresses of people in your classes View your Google Classroom classes View your Google Classroom class roster
  4. Click Allow.
  5. Click Import Classroom to start syncing classes and students into Pear Practice.
