Admin Tools: A dashboard for District Administrators that includes student reporting and user account management.
Assignment: An independent practice experience, similar to homework, that can be given to a student, a group of students, or an entire class with a due date and an accuracy goal.
Assignment Gradebook: A view of all student scores on assignments in a teacher’s classrooms.
Avatar: Virtual character dressed with accessories purchased via XP.
Care Packages: Rewards earned by students that contain surprise accessories used to dress their avatars.
Certified Content: Content that has been evaluated and verified by Pear Practice’s team of educational experts for standards alignment, rigor, cultural relevancy, and lack of bias.
Challenges: Daily (100 XP) and weekly (500 XP) challenges to encourage students to learn and award them bonus XP and rewards.
Class Remix: A Practice Set automatically curated based on questions a class has completed.
Custom Practice Set: A set manually created by a teacher.
Daily Remix: Personalized Practice Sets that contain questions tailored to each student’s learning needs including the questions they have missed in the past.
Experience Points (XP): Points earned by students through Live Practices, Assignments, Challenges, and Daily Remixes.
Explore: A centralized content repository where teachers can browse recommended Practice Sets or search by subject or grade.
High Fives: Virtual encouragement between peers. Students can encourage classmates by sending High Fives from the Home screen.
Instant Set: A Practice Set created by AI based on materials from a classroom curriculum or topics searched by the teacher.
Items: Questions copied, created, or imported into a Practice Set.
Live Practice: An interactive and collaborative game played via Practice Sets.
Locker: A compartment of accessories purchased by students via XP that they can add to their avatar.
Photobooth: Students can snap a photo of their avatar with a colored and styled background and download the photo. Teachers can share their photos on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Practice Sets: A custom group of questions that can be practiced collaboratively via a Live Practice or independently via an Assignment.
Premium Content: Content that has been evaluated and verified by Pear Practice’s team of educational experts for standards alignment, rigor, cultural relevancy, and lack of bias, and is only available to Premium subscribers.
Public Library: A library of Practice Sets available to all educators in Pear Practice includes other user-generated content and some certified content.
Public Profile: A teacher’s public profile that the fellow Pear Practice community can follow.
Rewards: Items that students earn for their avatars through care packages or by using their ticket to unlock a new item on the Season Map.
Monthly Challenge: Unique rewards for each specific month are awarded if students earn the target XP amount.
Season Map: A map where students can visit different locations to unlock themed accessories for their avatars.
School Library: A library of Practice Sets available for copying across a school or district with the same domain. The domain is the URL that comes after the “@” symbol in an email address, such as “peardeck.com” in example@peardeck.com.
Standards-Aligned Content: Items aligned to specific standards (e.g., Common Core).
