Easily transition from Google Forms to Pear Assessment with our seamless import feature. Convert your existing Google Forms into fully functional Pear Assessment quizzes effortlessly. Save time and unlock advanced data analysis and classroom insights without starting from scratch.
- Click Test in the navigation menu.
- Click New Test.
- Click Content Converter.
- Select the grade and subject and click proceed.
- Choose Google Drive as the import source and authenticate with your Google account.
- Select a Google Form from your Google Drive.
- If you want to add additional files, click Upload More and continue selecting files. Once you have finished selecting files, click Proceed.
- Pear Assessment will initiate the import process, converting Google form data into Pear Assessment items.
- After import, users will receive a summary of the imported form. If the correct answer is not set on Google Forms, the same would be included in the summary, it can be edited from the review screen and the item would show an exclamation.
- Click Review to view the Test Review screen. There, you can attach standards to each item, update correct answers if they were not included in the Google Form, add new items from the test library as needed, and edit or update settings directly from the test review page. After you have finished making edits and adjustments, the test will be ready for publication.

Pear Assessment supports a maximum of 50 items imported from Google Forms.
Pear Assessment supports most question types from Google Forms, except the linear scale type. The supported item types include: Multiple Choice, Checkbox, Short Answer, Paragraph, Dropdown, Date and Time, File Upload, Multiple Choice Grid, and Checkbox Grid.
Can a Google Form Containing Only Image or Video Content Be Effectively Imported into Pear Assessment?
Yes. When importing a Google Form into Pear Assessment, if the form includes solely an image, it will be classified as the “text (instructions question type).” Likewise, if the form includes only a video, it will be classified as the “video (instructions question type)” within Pear Assessment.
Currently, we do not have a specific filter designed for identifying tests that have been created by importing Google Forms. However, we plan to incorporate this feature in our upcoming releases.
