- Select the Test Behavior tab.
- Locate the Evaluation Method field and select the partial credit option.
- Complete any remaining assignment settings and click Assign.

How Partial Credit Scoring Works
When partial credit is enabled, Pear Assessment scores each question based on the proportion of correct elements a student provides. For example, if a graphing question asks a student to plot five points and the student plots four correctly, the student receives 0.80 out of 1.00 for that question instead of a score of zero.Award Partial Credit Manually
You can also award partial credit after a student submits an assignment, without changing the assignment’s Evaluation Method setting.- Express Grader (Premium and Enterprise): Enter a custom score for any question directly in the Express Grader.
- Live Class Board (all accounts): Click into a student’s answer and edit the score or add feedback.
