Remove a Student from a Manually Created Class
For classes created directly in Pear Assessment: without a Google Classroom or rostering integration: teachers can edit the roster from within the platform.- In Pear Assessment, navigate to Manage Class.
- Click the class name to open the class settings.
- Locate the student you want to remove in the class roster.
- Click the options menu next to the student’s name and select Remove.
- Confirm the removal when prompted.
Remove a Student from a Google Classroom-Synced Class
Classes synced from Google Classroom display the Google “G” symbol on the class tile. Roster changes for these classes must be made in Google Classroom: not in Pear Assessment.- Navigate to classroom.google.com.
- Open the class you want to edit.
- Select the People tab.
- Under Students, click the three-dot menu next to the student’s name.
- Click Remove, then confirm by clicking Remove again.
- In Pear Assessment, navigate to Manage Class.
- Click the Google Classroom class to open it.
- Click the Google Classroom sync button to pull the updated roster.
Pear Assessment syncs with Google Classroom automatically. Manual resync is only needed if you want roster changes to apply before the next scheduled sync.
Remove a Student from a Clever or ClassLink-Synced Class
Classes rostered through Clever or ClassLink display the corresponding integration symbol on the class tile. Roster changes cannot be made directly in Pear Assessment for these classes. To remove a student, the change must be made in Clever or ClassLink by your school’s IT department or a GoGuardian administrator. Pear Assessment will update automatically after the next sync. If you do not have access to Clever or ClassLink, contact your IT department or GoGuardian administrator for assistance.Resources
