District administrators can give teachers access to Pear Practice through two methods: sharing the app via Clever for single sign-on (SSO), or directing teachers to create accounts directly on the Pear Practice sign-in page. The Clever method is recommended for districts that already use Clever for roster management, as it provisions teacher accounts automatically when the app is shared.

Share Pear Practice with Teachers via Clever

Use this method if your district uses Clever. Sharing the Pear Practice app in Clever allows teachers to sign in immediately using their existing Clever credentials.
  1. Navigate to your Clever dashboard and sign in with an administrator account.
  2. Click Applications > Add applications.
  3. Search for Pear Practice (formerly Pear Practice).
  4. Click Request App.
  5. Click Send Integration Request and wait for approval via email.
  6. After receiving approval, click My applications in Clever.
  7. Click Sharing District or Sharing by school to the right of the Pear Practice app.
  8. Under Choose sharing method, select your preferred sharing method and click Next.
  9. Under Choose who needs access, select the teachers or staff who need access and click Next.
  10. Under Preview & share user data, confirm your sharing settings and click Share with application.
Request the Pear Practice app in Clever. Click the "Sharing district" button to share the Pear Practice app with organizations or users. Teachers who have been shared the app can sign in at practice.peardeck.com/sign-in using Sign in with Clever.

Manually Request the Pear Practice App in Clever

If Pear Practice does not appear in Clever’s application library, submit a manual integration request before sharing it with your district.
After Clever processes the request, you will receive an email with a link to the app. The app then appears under Applications > My applications in your Clever dashboard, where you can configure sharing settings as described above.
  1. Visit Clever’s application request form.
  2. Under Application Information, enter the following:
    • Application Name: Pear Practice (formerly Pear Practice)
    • Sign-In Page URL: https://practice.peardeck.com/sign-in
  3. Under Testing Information, provide a test account username and password. Do not use an account that contains student data.
  4. Click Request.
You can manually request the Pear Practice app to be added to Clever. After the manual request is approved, return to My applications in Clever and follow the sharing steps in the previous section to give teachers access.

Add Teachers Without Clever

If your district does not use Clever, teachers can create free Pear Practice accounts directly using a Google or Microsoft account. Direct teachers to practice.peardeck.com/sign-in and have them select Sign in with Google or Sign in with Microsoft. No administrator action is required to provision individual teacher accounts through this method. For districts that want centralized control over teacher access, Pear Practice Premium includes dedicated admin support and district-level reporting. Contact the Pear Practice team for licensing information.
