When a Pear Practice premium trial ends, your account automatically reverts to the free tier. There is no charge at the end of a trial unless your school or district has purchased a premium subscription.
Your content and student performance data are always yours. All Practice Sets you created and all student performance data remain fully accessible on the free tier after a trial ends.

What You Retain at No Cost

After a premium trial ends, all teachers continue to have access to the following at no charge:
  • The free version of Pear Practice, including core practice creation and delivery tools
  • All Practice Sets you created during the trial
  • All student performance data collected during the trial
  • Certified standards-aligned content, Google Classroom roster import, and single sign-on (SSO) via Google, Clever, and Microsoft
  • Student engagement features including avatars, Experience Points (XP), Week Streaks, Challenges, and Live Practices

What Requires a Paid Subscription

Premium-only features become unavailable when the trial ends. These include:
  • AI-generated practice questions and Instant Sets
  • AI-generated feedback explaining why student responses are correct or incorrect
  • Diagram and Classification question types
  • Audio file uploads, audio clip recording, and video embeds in practice questions
  • Customized student groups for Live Practices
  • Standards reporting, individual student reports, individual question reports, and District Reporting
  • Dedicated chat support for administrators
The School Library is available only if your school or district purchases a premium license. Unlike other premium features, the School Library is not included in the premium trial, so it does not become available during the trial period.
If you do not have a premium license and want to share your Practice Sets with other teachers in your district, update the sharing settings for those Practice Sets to Public so your colleagues can see them.

How to Purchase a Premium Subscription

Administrators can purchase Pear Practice licenses through their district or school. To request pricing information, fill out the contact form. If you are a teacher interested in premium access, use the email template to advocate for Pear Practice Premium with your school or district administrators.
