Additional Features Included in Pear Assessment Premium

The article provides information on the additional features included in Pear Assessment Premium. It highlights the benefits and enhanced functionalities available for teachers and students using the premium version of Pear Assessment. Highlighted features include:
  • Shuffle Question Order: Users can randomize the order in which questions from a test are displayed for each student
  • Option to show scores but hide answers from students: When users set Show Detailed Report to Students to No, students will no longer have access to questions, answers, and question-level feedback
  • Read-aloud (text-to-speech): The read-aloud feature can be set for an entire class or individual students. Once activated, play and stop buttons appear above each question. Students can click on play to hear a voice reading the text
  • Assessment Draft Collaboration: Allows users to share an assessment draft with others in the district for joint editing purposes. Once you save a draft, users will notice a new option Add a Co-Author appears. Once teachers click Add a Co-Author, users can enter the email of the individual who will have access to the draft. The co-author must also have a premium account
  • Calculator: Teachers or administrators can make a calculator available for students. Users can select a basic or scientific calculator
  • Add a co-instructor: Teachers can add a co-teacher for each of their classes. Click Manage Class, click the Actions drop-down menu, and select Add a Co-Teacher
  • Rubric-based scoring: Users can create rubrics and share rubrics across your district. When grading with a rubric, you can select scores from a dropdown. The score will be adjusted automatically
  • Dynamic Content Questions: Users can create items where the same question is asked, but different versions are given to students. These items look different for each student and have different answers because the numbers in the question text are generated randomly
  • Partial Scoring: Users can allow for items to be given partial credit
