When teachers create and name their own classes without direction from the school or district, administrators may encounter lists of vague or unidentifiable classes when assigning common assessments. Administrators can rename individual classes or use bulk edit to update multiple classes at once.
Teachers can also rename their own classes. If it is more efficient for the administrator to handle renaming, use the steps below.

Edit a Single Class or Multiple Classes

  1. Go to the Manage School or Manage District tab.
School administrators can only modify classes for their own school. District administrators can modify classes for all schools.
  2. Select the Classes tab.
  3. Use the filter boxes to search by class name.
  4. Place a check mark next to the class or classes you want to edit.
  5. From the drop-down menu, select Edit Class to modify a single class, or select Bulk Edit to modify more than one class at the same time.
  6. Update the class name, course name, or other fields to match your naming conventions.
  7. Click Save.
Renaming a class does not affect assignments that are currently assigned. The new class name is reflected in the assignments list going forward.
