Pear Assessment lets you set a time limit on any assignment. Students are notified that the test is timed when they begin, and they are locked out when the limit expires. If a student exits the test before time runs out, the timer resumes where it left off when they re-enter.

Enable a Timed Test

  1. In the navigation menu, click Assignments.
  2. Click an existing assignment’s name, or create a new one.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. Toggle on Timed Test.
  5. Set the time limit in minutes by entering a value or using the increment control.
  6. Enable or disable Allow Student to Save and Continue Later.
  7. Click Save.
