If you are switching from a Google account to a Microsoft Office 365 account, you can transfer your Pear Deck presentations by downloading them as PowerPoint files and re-uploading them to OneDrive. The slide content moves over intact, but interactive Pear Deck questions must be re-added in PowerPoint Online after the transfer.

Download Your Google Slides Deck

  1. Open your presentation in Google Slides.
  2. Select File > Download > Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx).
  3. Verify the result: a .pptx file saves to your computer’s default download location.

Upload the File to OneDrive

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft Office 365 account and open OneDrive.
  2. Click + Add New > Files Upload.
  3. Select the .pptx file you downloaded and click Open.
  4. Verify the result: the file appears in your OneDrive file list.

Re-Add Interactive Questions

  1. Open the uploaded presentation in PowerPoint Online.
  2. Open the Pear Deck Add-in by selecting Home > More Options (three-dot menu) > Pear Deck.
  3. In the Pear Deck sidebar, select Ask Students a Question and add your interactive questions to each slide.
  4. Verify the result: each slide that needs student interaction shows a Pear Deck question type in the sidebar.
Interactive Pear Deck components (such as draggable, drawing, and multiple-choice questions) cannot be transferred between Google Slides and PowerPoint Online. The main slide content (text, images, and layout) carries over automatically. You must re-add all interactive questions in the new editor.
