You can update the item type while editing an item in Pear Assessment rather than deleting the item and starting from scratch. Any item type can be adjusted to a set of available options, and this can be done by accessing the item from the item bank, test library, or while editing an assigned test.

Change Item Type in Edit Mode

  1. When editing an item, click the dropdown in the top left corner of the screen to show all available item type options.
  2. Select the new item type. Once the item type changes, edit and update the item as needed.

  1. Click Save to save the item and the test.
When editing an assigned test, follow the proper process to make edits to a test that has already been assigned. Once the edits are made to the item, regrading options will be available.
