This article explains how to add an app to a block policy in GoGuardian Admin from GoGuardian Discover. This is a cross-product workflow: the action starts in Discover and takes effect in GoGuardian Admin.
You need permission to edit policies in GoGuardian Admin to complete this workflow. If you can’t select a policy, contact your GoGuardian Admin owner.
Block App in Admin from Discover
-
Go to Discover.
-
Click App Catalog.
-
Find the app you want to block.
-
Open the app details.
-
Click Block in GoGuardian Admin.
-
Review the app domain or domains that Discover will send to GoGuardian Admin.
-
In the policy picker, select the GoGuardian Admin policy you want to update.
-
Click Block App in Selected Policies.
-
Wait for the success message confirming the app was added.
-
Go to GoGuardian Admin and open the policy you updated. Confirm the app domain appears in the policy’s blocked sites list.
Adding an app to a block policy prevents students assigned to that policy from accessing the app. You can select multiple policies in one action.
