If GoGuardian Discover shows no data, partial data, or unexpected gaps, use this article to identify the cause and restore expected results.
Identify Possible Causes
Review the most common causes before making changes:
- Filters are too narrow. A selected OU, classroom, OSes filter, or date range may exclude expected data.
- Date range excludes recent activity. The selected range may not include the days you want to review.
- Selected scope has no activity. The OU or classroom may not have app usage during the selected period.
- Data refresh is still in progress. Discover data updates once per day during off-hours and may not include very recent activity yet.
Review Filters

Go to Discover.

Open Dashboard or App Catalog.

Review all active filters.

Clear each filter, then apply filters again.

Expand the date range to include more days.

Select a different OU or classroom to confirm whether data appears in another scope.

Wait for the next data refresh window, then check again.
If the issue continues after completing these steps, contact GoGuardian Support and include:
- Product name: Discover
- Organization name
- Description of the missing data (which view, which date range, which filters were active)

How often does Discover update its data?
Discover data updates once per day during off-hours.
Why does data appear for some schools but not others?
The OU with missing data may have no activity in the selected date range, or it may not yet have completed its data refresh cycle.
