Allow Desktop Notifications

Google Chrome

1. Go to teacher.goguardian.com and sign in.
2. Click the lock icon to the left of the URL in the address bar. Find the Notifications drop-down and select Allow.
3. Click the Chat toggle to turn on Chat. Click the cogwheel icon and turn on Desktop Notifications.
4. Confirm that the Desktop Notifications setting shows as enabled in the cogwheel menu.

Mozilla Firefox

1. Go to teacher.goguardian.com and sign in.
2. Click the notification icon to the left of the URL in the address bar. Click the X next to the disabled notification preference to unblock notifications.
3. Click the Chat toggle to turn on Chat. Click the cogwheel icon and turn on Desktop Notifications.

Safari

1. Go to teacher.goguardian.com and sign in. Click Safari in the top-left menu bar and select Preferences.
2. In the Preferences window, click Notifications near the bottom-left corner under General. Confirm that goguardian.com is set to Allow.
3. Click the Chat toggle to turn on Chat. Click the cogwheel icon and turn on Desktop Notifications.

Microsoft Edge

1. Click the lock icon to the left of the address bar.
2. Under Website Permissions, turn the Notifications toggle to On.
3. Click the Chat toggle to turn on Chat. Click the cogwheel icon and turn on Desktop Notifications.
